Gabucan Family Dentistry (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates dental offices in San Jose and Milpitas, California. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information through our website, our communications with you, and the Dental One patient app that we use to provide appointment services.
This policy does not replace our Notice of Privacy Practices, which describes how we use and disclose your protected health information under HIPAA. You can request a copy of that notice at either of our offices.

4. SMS / Text Messaging
Gabucan Family Dentistry sends appointment reminders and appointment notices by text message to patients who opt in. Opting in is optional and is not required to receive care.

– Reply STOP to any message to opt out. You will receive one confirmation message and no further texts. Reply START to resubscribe.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Choices
– You can turn appointment text messages on or off at any time in the Dental One app under Notification Preferences, or by replying STOP.
– You can contact us to update your contact information or ask how your information is used.
7. Children’s Privacy
Our website is not directed to children under 13. Information about minor patients is provided and managed by a parent or legal guardian.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
