Dr. Del Carmen has been practicing orthodontics in the bay area for over 30 years.  She believes a great smile is important for optimal oral health, functions, and self esteem. She graduated from UC Davis with a B.S. and received a D.D.S. from UCSF in 1990. She attended the University of Detroit Mercy and received a certificate in orthodontics and an M.S. for her thesis on jaw growth and development of adolescents. After all these years as an orthodontist, Dr. Del Carmen is still passionate about braces! She is known for educating her patients on the physics of tooth movement and making children excited about improving their smiles!
